A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to non-existent email addresses under the same domain name. For example, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can receive email messages from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

If you’ve got a shared hosting with us and you wish to activate the catch-all option for a particular mailbox that you have in your account, it will take literally just a single click in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel to accomplish this. A catch-all button is available to the right of each and every email address that you have set up under any domain hosted in your account. You can select one single address per domain name by clicking the respective button. This will activate the feature instantaneously, so all email messages sent to mistyped email addresses will be received there. Clicking on the button for a second time will turn off the catch-all feature. In case you have enabled email forwarding, our system will display a cautionary message and you will not be able to activate the catch-all feature until you delete the forwarding or you can simply select another mailbox to be the catch-all one.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The catch-all feature can be enabled easily in case you have a semi-dedicated server plan with us. All the email addresses that you’ve set up using the domain names hosted in the semi-dedicated server account will be listed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll notice a tiny logo conveniently located right next to each one. With only one single click of the mouse, you can enable or disable the catch-all option for any mailbox of your choice provided that there isn't another mailbox under that same domain with the option already enabled and there isn't enabled email forwarding. Instead, you can right-click on an email address and enable the feature through the menu that will come into sight. In case any of the preconditions for configuring a catch-all mailbox is not answered, our system will let you know, but will not replace or disable anything automatically.
